ToneTrade policies
Seller Policy
1. Selling on ToneTrade
Sellers list musical instruments and gear for sale to buyers on ToneTrade. You must honour listings, ship after escrow clears, and complete TradeSafe onboarding (including bank details) so payouts can settle.
2. Listing standards
- Use clear photos of the actual item; disclose damage, modifications, and missing parts.
- Set an honest condition: New, Used, Refurbished, or For parts.
- Include serial numbers where helpful for authenticity and disputes.
- Choose one courier and a delivery fee (or free shipping) per listing.
- Do not list items on the Prohibited Items list.
3. Fulfilment
- Do not ship until TradeSafe confirms funds are in escrow.
- Pack instruments to survive courier handling; retain proof of postage / tracking.
- Dispatch within your stated processing time.
4. Verification
Verified sellers submit identity and/or business documents for ToneTrade review. Pending or not-yet-verified stores may still list where allowed. Every ToneTrade checkout includes TradeSafe escrow protection for buyers and sellers.
5. Fees & payouts
ToneTrade commission and TradeSafe escrow fees are described on Fees. Payouts go to the bank account registered with TradeSafe after release.
6. Enforcement
ToneTrade may remove listings, suspend stores, or refuse service for policy breaches, fraud risk, or repeated disputes. Off-platform payment requests for ToneTrade orders are prohibited.
